Hemerocallis 'Huckleberry Candy'

Common Name: Daylily

This new selection offers a unique color combination of creamy peach to buff flowers with a prominent red-purple eye, blue-purple watermark, and fluorescent green throat.  The purple eye is notched at the midribs, creating an interesting color pattern on the heavily diamond dusted, pie crust ruffled petals.

These sweetly fragrant, 4 ¼ - 5”, rounded flowers are presented atop 2-3 way branched scapes carrying 18-20 buds apiece.  ‘Huckleberry Candy’ is an early midseason bloomer and also reblooms later in the season.

Dormant tetraploid.

This is considered a premium daylily, which means that it has been selected as highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
