Dicentra 'Rubies and Diamonds' PPAF CPBRAF

SUN JEWELS™ Series

Common Name: Fern-leaved Bleeding Heart, Alpine Bleeding Heart

A lovely plant to incorporate into well drained, sunny gardens! This Alpine Bleeding Heart brings long-lasting, ruby-red flowers to the landscape. Flowers appear on 'Rubies and Diamonds' beginning in spring, hitting its peak bloom in early summer, but with flowers persisting into early fall. Finely textured glaucous blue foliage is a secondary source of interest. Use this long blooming perennial as an anchor along the front of the border. Note that this is an alpine-type Bleeding Heart and will have its best performance in full sun and well-drained soils.

This is an alpine type of bleeding heart and is not a shade plant. For best results, plant in full sun in soil with good drainage. Do not overwater or plant in an area that gets waterlogged.
