Festuca arundinacea 'Perfect Edging' PPAF CPBRAF
Common Name: Tall Fescue, Ornamental Grass
A break from the more commonly known species, Festuca glauca, 'Perfect Edging' is a taller variety perfect for the middle of the border! This selection has variegated foliage, with creamy white margins surrounding blue-green leaves. Variegation is most pronounced as the plant emerges in early spring, and will later match the lightly colored seedheads. Flowers appear in early summer, remaining upright through the end of the season.
Like many other Ornamental Grasses, Festuca arundinacea is excellent for soil conservation and erosion control. Though often found in turf grass mixes, this species is also applicable as a solitary or ornamental perennial.
