Geum 'Totally Tangerine' PP22041

Common Name: Avens

We were so impressed by the incredible number of blossoms this large Geum produced over several months in our trials. Since it is totally sterile, it just kept right on blooming from late spring through the heat of summer. Though we didn’t personally count them all, other sources claim that this plant produces 5 times the number of flowers as a typical Geum and we wouldn’t be surprised if this was true.

The deep green, fuzzy foliage formed a compact mound which measured about 14” tall. In full bloom, the plants measured a whopping 30” tall—the biggest Geum we’ve seen! The bright apricot to tangerine orange flowers make an outstanding color statement in the garden.

Leonard Perry of the University of Vermont says: “One of the top performers of all my new perennials, very robust habit.  I’m very impressed!”.  We think you will be too!

Geum is a fast grower that is rarely bothered by pests or diseases.
