Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra 'Sunburst'

Common Name: False Sunflower

Similar to ‘Lorraine Sunshine’, this new form is produced by seed. It offers terrific cream and green variegated foliage and single 2-2½”, golden yellow flowers in the heat of summer.  As the season progresses, the foliage tends to green up a bit which is typical for a variegated Heliopsis.

Heliopsis have traditionally been an excellent tall perennial for the middle or back of the flower border. It has a bushy, well-branched form and glossy, deep green, triangular leaves – a real workhorse in the garden! Use this plant in combination containers, as a cut flower, or to attract butterflies to your garden.
