Hemerocallis 'Alpha Centauri'

Common Name: Daylily

Named for the brightest star system in the constellation Centaurus, this outstanding daylily is one of the brightest yellow flowered varieties in our fields. It has a very pronounced presence there as its tall, strong, top-branched scapes carry very large 6”, pure citron yellow, fragrant flowers with a lime green throat.

Use this daylily to add a brilliant beacon of color to the garden.

When appreciated up close, you’ll notice its lovely, fragrant blossoms have diamond dusted, ruffled petals too.

Dormant tetraploid.

This is considered a premium daylily, which means that it has been selected as highly performing plant with exceptional bloom performance, substantive, vibrantly colored flowers, complete winter hardiness in northern zones, and a vigorous habit.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).
