Iris 'Decadence'

Iris 'Decadence' Tall Bearded Iris

Common Name: Tall Bearded Iris

Considered to be one of the very best of all Tall Bearded Irises, ‘Decadence’ truly delivers an excellent garden performance. Its large, extravagantly ruffled blossoms have frilly laced, apricot edges on its broadly flaring, plum burgundy falls with orange beards. Golden apricot standards stand in perfect contrast to the dark falls and glow in the late afternoon sun. Intense coloration and strong growth makes this iris a true showstopper. It’s no surprise that it is a multiple award winner including the top Wister Medal.

No garden would be complete without Tall Bearded Irises. Though they have been grown for decades, new and improved hybrids continue to be developed every year and fabulous color combinations have been achieved. The Tall Beardeds bloom after the Dwarf Irises but before the Japanese and Siberian Irises. They are wonderful accent plants for late spring gardens.
