Kniphofia uvaria 'Red Rocket' PP21905

Common Name: Red Hot Poker, Torch Lily or Tritoma

Though this new hybrid is still rare in the US trade, you may know its parent, ‘Nancy’s Red’.  ‘Red Rocket’ was discovered as a whole plant mutation of ‘Nancy’s Red’ by the inventor and was selected because it was a stronger, healthier growing selection that blooms earlier.

‘Red Rocket’ produces the same hot coral red flowers of its parent and blooms over a very long period from early through late summer.  It exhibits excellent garden performance, tolerating wind, rain, and summer heat with ease.
