BELARINA® primroses are refined beauties that completely embody the joy and hope that spring offers. Their sizable double blossoms appear in a rainbow of colors and bloom profusely throughout the spring season atop the compact, bright green foliage. Sterile flowers result in plants that are particularly long blooming.

Though they are perfectly hardy in the landscape, be sure to plant a few in combination containers and windowsill pots where you can view their gorgeous flowers up close.

AMETHYST ICE bears violet blue, double blossoms with a thin white edge in mid-season.

Primroses will produce dazzling flowers each spring if they are well-maintained. Ideally, they should be planted in boggy areas, perhaps near bodies of water, where their shallow roots will not dry out. Plants will go dormant in hot, dry summer weather unless they are kept well-watered. Though they are fully hardy in the North, primroses need protective insulation such as snow cover in the late winter months so they are not lost to late hard freezes.
